Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join a growing team in Sacramento. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
